The Stuttgart Spring Festival will welcome visitors from home and abroad to the Cannstatter Wasen fairground. This festival offers attractions for the whole family, whether you prefer the Ferris wheel, the wave swinger or the "Wild Mouse" roller coaster, candyfloss or grilled sausages. And in the huge beer tents a great atmosphere, Spring Festival beer, grilled chicken and traditional music await you.

Stroll around, sample delicious food, relax, dance - the elegant Stuttgart Summer Festival, surely one of Germany's most delightful city festivals, is held annually at the beginning of August on the main Palace Square and in the Palace Gardens around the lake in front of the State Theatre.

Connoisseurs and wine lovers from all over the world will come to sample the fruits of summer at the Marketplace and Schiller Square near the Old Palace at the Stuttgart Wine Village. The Stuttgart Beer Festival has become one of the world's largest public festivals with a host of fairground rides and frequent new attractions centred round its emblem, a 24-metre-high column of fruit. In the huge marquees of the Stuttgart breweries, each of which seats up to 5000 guests, in the beer tents of the regional brewers and the beer gardens, the beer flows more or less unceasingly, and there is plenty of food available aswell.

First documented in 1692, Stuttgart's Christmas market is not only one of the oldest, but also one of the largest and most beautiful Christmas markets in Europe, comprising some 230 stalls on the Marketplace and Schiller Square. Everything sparkles in festive splendour and the smell of mulled wine and cinnamon waffles fills the air. For the youngest visitors to the Christmas market there is an enchanting fairyland on Palace Square and the rustically romantic "Winter Wonderland" skating rink to delight not only skaters. Several Advent concerts round off the festive atmosphere.
