Waldhorn am Schloss LudwigburgRestaurants
Immediately opposite Ludwigsburg Palace stands the oldest house in Ludwigsburg and one that is steeped in history. Ever since the year 1707, for more than 300 years now, the Waldhorn has been an inn, and here the artists, architects and artisans who built the palace once dined. Later it was the haunt of prominent writers and thinkers such as Goethe and Schiller, as well as famous guests of the dukes, such as Giacomo Casanova, Cagliostro, Schubart and the child prodigy Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. In the enchanting ambience of this renowned, traditional inn, an imaginative and varied selection of seasonal dishes is served, as well as modern, regional cuisine with freshly prepared ingredients from local producers.
