Traditional Jazz Hall

The "Jazz Initiative e. V." was founded on 15th March 1999 by dedicated musicians from Stuttgart's jazz scene and began to stage concerts in the "Traditional Jazz Hall", the former "Dixieland Hall". For three decades jazz concerts have been held in this club in Marienstraße.

Few jazz clubs have been as successful in cultivating and promoting jazz for so many decades and in spreading the reputation of the state capital of Stuttgart not just beyond the city boundaries, but all over the world. The founders of the Jazz Initiative e. V. have made the most of the opportunity to continue this tradition.

From Wednesday to Sunday traditional jazz – traditional Swabian specialities provided by the Restaurant Ketterer – accompanied by the appropriate drinks, in the impressive ambience of the club.
