Off the beaten track...

Bog-standard sightseeing is too monotonous for you? Would you rather explore a few special corners? Here we reveal some of the city's more hidden places, which are just as much a part of Stuttgart as the TV tower or the city library.

Street Art Stuttgart

Graffiti is omnipresent in Stuttgart. The "Secret Walls Gallery" in the Bonatzbau, the old main station building, with the creations of 70 sprayers is just a small taste. And in the "Hall of Fame" in Bad-Cannstatt you can find everything from first spray attempts to graffiti artworks on the walls. At the "Heslach-Vogelrain" underground station, there's even a cool "city graffiti" on the wall of an electricity box just waiting to be discovered!

Funicular Railway

From the underground station "Heslach-Vogelrain" it is only a few steps to the funicular railway Stuttgart. The almost 100-year-old cable car, which is even a listed building, makes the ascent to the forest cemetery a unique experience. From there, a relaxing walk through the forest or back to the city can begin.

ITS - Guided Tour and alternative View of the Railway Station Tower

The Stuttgart 21 construction project will be present for some years to come and will go down in Stuttgart's history as a milestone of architecture and modernity. In the dark red InfoTurmStuttgart, you can discover what lies behind this gigantic project on a guided tour or on your own. And the view from the panorama terrace makes the climb worthwhile.

Gallery Kernweine

When we talk about an artistic Stuttgart, of course we can't avoid the Kernweine Gallery! Three talented young people from Stuttgart with the vision to exhibit artful photographs in their own gallery bought a former wine press house and so the beautiful art house came into being at the end of 2017. You can also enjoy breakfast, cake or cool drinks in the café-bar.

Secret Bar – „Jigger&Spoon“

How about an evening in a bank vault? Yes, that sounds crazy! And when we tell you that you can drink a cocktail there between the "Mona Lisa" and the "Last Supper", it gets even crazier. An evening at the Jigger & Spoon bar is simply part of the Stuttgart nightlife experience!

Stuttgart Gin's

The city of Stuttgart is famous for its wine. For some years now, however, the range of Stuttgart gins has also been growing. Many distilleries have already successfully tried their hand at the popular spirit and produced delicious results. At the latest since the award as best gin in the world in 2018 for GINSTR, Stuttgart has been known for its gin creations. Try it for yourself!

Kappelberg - Tip out of town

The view from the Kappelberg in Fellbach, a suburb bordering Stuttgart, is a great alternative to the city's well-known vantage points. Here the vines run directly into the forest, providing a fantastic backdrop. Especially on the Fellbach Panorama Terrace you can enjoy the wonderful view of Stuttgart and take a little time out.
