Known to Stuttgart's inhabitants simply as the "Wasen", the Stuttgart Beer Festival from the end of September to mid October on the Cannstatter Wasen fairground, and its spring counterpart, the Stuttgart Spring Festival, which is held from mid April to the beginning of May, draw millions of visitors each year from all over the world to the metropolis on the R. Neckar. Both of these festivals offer a host of attractions with their stalls, fairground rides and beer tents.
