Together with the stables (now the BW Bank), the original baroque building of St. Eberhard's Church in Stuttgart was moved from Solitude to Königstraße at the beginning of the 19th century. The court architect at the time, Nicolas v. Thouret, built it here in neoclassical style.
The church, which was destroyed in the Second World War and rebuilt in a modified form by Hugo Schlösser, was elevated to the status of cathedral church of the Rottenburg-Stuttgart diocese in 1978.
Highlight: The neighboring House of the Catholic Church promises peace and contemplation in the middle of the city center. And with its impressive interior architecture and a lovely café, it is a popular meeting place!
