Karlsplatz Stuttgart is named after Duke Karl Eugen, who ruled the country from 1744 to 1793. In the centre of the square is an equestrian statue of Kaiser Wilhelm I. A flea market is held every Saturday on Stuttgart's Karlsplatz. And in July, the Hamburg fish market provides coastal flair and enjoyment.
