Filderspitzkraut

Does the thought of sauerkraut, cabbage rolls, cabbage cake and the like make your mouth water? Understandably so. This delicious vegetable really is a speciality. To be more precise, a Stuttgart speciality: for centuries, Filderspitzkraut has been grown on the Filder, because it only grows on the good loess loam soils of the Filder plateau. The tasty subspecies of the white headed cabbage is even an EU-protected speciality.
