Young winegrower Moritz Haidle

One of the Rems Valley's oldest wine estates (founded in 1949) and an ambitious young wine grower who loves hip-hop: in the idyllic community of Stetten that's a perfect match! After completing several spells of training in Germany and abroad, Moritz Haidle (b. 1987) took over the work of his grandfather and father in 2014 and now focuses on sustainable and organic wine production.

The Weingut Karl Haidle cultivates an area of 25 ha in keeping with the principle "Good wines are made in the vineyard and not in the cellars". His success proves him right. "Stettener Pulvermächer" is one of the best vineyard locations for Riesling in Württemberg, and the red wines are equally outstanding – in the past two decades they have regularly won Vinum's German Red Wine Award.
Moritz Haidle is totally at home in the Stuttgart Region: he closely follows developments in Stuttgart's hip-hop scene, values the region's many highlights and loves its culinary specialities. "Spätzle mit Soß" (swabian noodles with gravy), in his opinion, is a treat not to be missed.
