Woodpecker-Trail
It's not just your heart that races on this descent. The Woodpecker Trail in Dornhaldenwald gets the adrenaline pumping and sends mountain bikers shooting down the slope. On the downhill route between Degerloch and Heslach, they overcome 27 different obstacles and a difference in altitude of 120 meters. Anyone who arrives in the south of Stuttgart after a trip full of ramps, hills and sharp bends will be shouting at the top of their voice: do it again! You shouldn't miss the iconic ascent anyway: The cog railroad, which everyone simply calls the "Zacke", rattles its way back up the meters in altitude. The Woodpecker Trail can only be ridden with full protective equipment and a technically sound mountain bike. The minimum age is 14 years.
