Baden-Württemberg House of History

From Napoleon to the present day: this is the era spanned by the Baden-Württemberg House of History. A look at the exhibits in the modern building on Stuttgart's "culture mile" confirms that the history of the state has always held much of interest - from the 1848/49 Revolution to the struggle for power in Germany's South-West, right up to the abortive attempt to build a nuclear power station in Wyhl.

The exhibits which illustrate these and other events are without exception originals, presented in an attractive architectural setting. The objects tell of the people of the age – of love and hate, of the powerful and the powerless, of victory and defeat. Short texts, films and information points convey a wealth of knowledge about the state, the state capital of Stuttgart and the surrounding region.
