Villa Reitzenstein Park

This Way

in 1.2 Kilometer Start Route

The garden is laid out in two design forms: the "English landscape garden", a deliberately natural form of garden design, but also the "formal garden", which uses geometric shapes. Thanks to its structural diversity, the park is an urban biotope with trees, some of which are 80 to 100 years old, and sensitive plant species such as the protected broad-leaved helleborine. The oldest representatives include sequoia trees, whose seeds, according to legend, were a gift from King Wilhelm I.

Several bee colonies also feel at home here, producing the famous "government honey", which only state guests can enjoy. But wild bees and other insects can also make their home in an "insect hotel" by the wetland biotope. There, under the arabesque dome of the Tempietto (Italian: little temple), you have a beautiful view of the west of Stuttgart.
