The Wartberg - formerly an allotment garden site with orchards - adjoins the Höhenpark Killesberg to the east. Höhenpark Killesberg to the east. From the 60-metre-high terrain, you can see far into the Neckar valley!
Two serpentine paths wind along the slope, with numerous walls and steps in between - dating back to the time when wine was grown here. The visual eye-catcher of the Wartberg is the Egelsee lake. It is adjoined by a series of smaller lakes, known as "crayfish tails" because of their shape. Water-spouting geometric figures enliven the 5000 square meter lake area.
In the valley basin, which slopes to the east, there are traditional allotments and "Gütle", which were newly parceled out and laid out according to ecological principles during the IGA 1993. Also: the filigree building of the Ecology Center.
The Bombay footbridge and the Brünner Seg over Heilbronner Straße connect the Wartberg with the Leibfried Garden.
