Even though more than 600 years lie between Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) and Omar Khayyam (1048-1131), both geniuses were destined to meet. Their world views, which represent a perfect combination of mathematical mastery and supreme spirituality, bring them into a delightful dialog and point a clear path to the sublime.

In this program, the ensemble Constantinople with soprano Hana Blažíková brings the two artists together and allows their spirituality to transcend borders. Using instruments from East and West, Constantinople presents arrangements of some of the most beautiful sacred songs and arias by J. S. Bach in dialog with poems by Omar Khayyam, which are sung in Persian and respond to Bach's songs.
