#13 JAZZ MIT STADTBLICK: DUO PEIRANI & SALQUE

Vincent Peirani (accordion) and François Salque (cello) are musical adventurers. Both winners of numerous awards - including the Prix Django Reinhardt, the Victoires du Jazz and the Diapason d'or - they set off in search of Bach and his music, between baroque, jazz and world music. The instruments and their combination open up unimagined possibilities. Bach was and is, they say, "a source of overarching inspiration." For composing, for interpreting, for improvising. Mendelssohn and Villa-Lobos, Piazzolla and Messiaen, Pēteris Vasks, Brad Mehldau and their own compositions - based on chorales, preludes and sarabands - make up the varied program.
The CMS building on Calwer Passage offers a special setting. Here, nature and modern architecture combine in a unique way. A spectacular city backdrop awaits you on the top floor as a stage set for this dialog full of creativity and musical flair.
