A starry sky of counterpoint awaits us at the concert by the string quartet Les Récréations in the Schlosskirche, a historic gem in the heart of Stuttgart. The French ensemble was recently awarded the Diapason d'or for its inspiring recording of Bach's "Art of Fugue". They have dedicated themselves entirely to reviving the baroque repertoire with new perspectives and a great love of experimentation. Their current program "Fugenkunst!" gives us an international insight into the mastery of counterpoint, cantabile and virtuosity, with works by Palestrina, Purcell and others. including works by Palestrina, Purcell, Gesualdo, Scarlatti and Bach.
