2nd Line & Soulful Jazz Ensemble (presented by HMDK Stuttgart)

This ensemble from the HMDK Stuttgart brings the unmistakable sound of New Orleans to the stage: driving second-line rhythms meet energetic horns and a grooving rhythm section and merge into a rousing sound.

The program includes pieces by Craig Handy, Snarky Puppy and John Scofield - supplemented by the band members' own compositions. The focus is on energy and tight interplay.
The ideas of the musicians find a place in the repertoire and give the pieces their own lively character. Every meeting is characterized by the greatest joy of playing!
