#31 VOCES SUAVES & GLI INCOGNITI: MEMBRA JESU NOSTRI

Location:
Stiftskirche Stuttgart, Stiftstraße 12, 70173 Stuttgart

"Membra Jesu Nostri" is the first collaboration between the Basel vocal ensemble Voces Suaves and the French original sound ensemble Gli Incogniti under the direction of violinist Amandine Beyer. The focus is on Dietrich Buxtehude's Passion cantata cycle, one of the most extraordinary sacred works of the Baroque: seven mystical reflections on the limbs of the crucified - from his feet to his heart and head. The program also includes two innovative trio sonatas by the composer.
The young Bach made the long journey from Arnstadt to Lübeck to get to know the music of his role model Buxtehude at first hand. You don't have to travel that far: the Bachfest Stuttgart makes it possible!
In cooperation with Stiftsmusik Stuttgart as part of the Hour of Church Music

* Individual and collective tickets for the HOUR OF CHURCH MUSIC are not valid for this concert! Tickets for this concert must be purchased separately via the website www.bachfest-stuttgart.de or via Easy Ticket Service!
