Documentation on migrants and refugees in Europe Director: Luca Luchhesi documentary Germany 2020 92 minutes FSK 0, recommended from 14 years

In a small town in southern Europe, people have been worshipping the statue of a black Jesus for centuries. When 19-year-old Edward from Ghana asks to join the locals in carrying the statue of Jesus in the annual procession through the town, his request divides the community. On a journey that explores the origins of prejudice against 'the other', the townspeople are challenged to confront their own identity, starting with the icon of their faith: a black Jesus. The documentary, produced by Wim Wenders, is the result of two years of intensive research in the hometown of Luca Lucchesi's father. A personal testimony of faith, hope and love for humanity.
