A – Z. Mapping the Future

The ABK Stuttgart as a guest at the Staatsgalerie

Countless silver-colored balloons in the shapes of Korean letters, a haunting video work about the life of a female artist, a flag made of latex and street dirt, black and white filigree works on paper and large-scale installations - the exhibition "A - Z" presents the impressively diverse final works of the young artists of the ABK Stuttgart. With their cross-media works, over thirty graduates from thirteen classes make it clear that they are ready to make the leap from the academy into a life with art. They experiment with a wide variety of techniques and materials, work on various socially relevant topics and often place their own bodies at the center of their artistic exploration. "Mapping the Future" brings the diversity of artistic creation at the Stuttgart Academy into the museum space and signals that the future has long since begun for the artists involved.
