The music of Martin, Martinů, and Bartók is juxtaposed with more recent Iranian folk songs of various origins, which deal with everyday stories and their intense emotional world. Avin Ahmadi has arranged these intimate songs himself for voice, oud, and piano trio, leaving room for improvisation and thus making this concert evening an extraordinary musical experience.
