On the outskirts of the city of N'Djamena in Chad, Amina lives alone with her 15-year-old daughter Maria. When she becomes pregnant, her already fragile world collapses. In the country, abortion is not only condemned by religion, it is also punishable by law.
Together with the women of the neighborhood, Amina fights for her daughter's self-determination. A strong plea for the power of female solidarity.
In the course of the story, mother Amina and daughter Maria discover that they are not as isolated as they thought and that they are the ones who make history.
