Afrika Film Festival: Toubab

After his release from prison, Babtou is really looking forward to a fresh start: enjoying freedom with his buddy Dennis, embracing the world - and having nothing more to do with the authorities. But his spontaneous welcome party of all things goes so wrong,
that Babtou is back in trouble with the police that very evening. Toubab deals with subjects such as racism and homophobia with astonishing ease. The director succeeds in presenting a likeable, humorous film that also has a serious interest in telling
about structural discrimination.
