Back in Charge! Blues musicians, like good whiskey, get better and better with age. This can be clearly seen in Al Jones, who is performing on the Lab stage once again.

Al Jones and Oskar Pöhnl had their first blues band together back in the 1960s. Al still follows the direction he took back then to this day. "We've never changed our style, we've just got better at it," says Jones. "Blues songs are technically easy, but difficult to play. You have to bring your personality to it and know exactly what you're doing. Some tunes we've been playing for 25 years. Some tunes you have to play for 25 years before you get them right." A lifelong meditation on twelve bars. In addition to guest appearances at the most important festivals, the Al Jones Blues Band has completed numerous tours with Tommy Tucker, Sonny Rhodes, Willie Mabon, Champion Jack Dupree and many more.
