The rather angry 17-year-old Sally has run away from a clinic for eating disorders. To avoid being picked up by the police and taken back to her parents, she wanders aimlessly through vineyards. There she speaks to a farmer's wife whose trailer is stuck.
Over time, this chance encounter develops into a fragile friendship between the two dissimilar women. Two lonely outsiders who slowly become involved with each other. Piece by piece, as if carefully peeling fruit, author Ewald Arenz reveals the fates of the two protagonists.
