Andreas Martin Hofmeir - "Kein Aufwand, Teil 1"

He was the first tuba player ever to win the ECHO Klassik award for "Instrumentalist of the Year", he is a professor at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and was a founding member of the Bavarian cult band LaBrassBanda. Now he is returning to his cabaret roots and, due to his age, has chosen the reading variant: in his dry style, he reads from his experiences as a tuba player and world traveler, with epic breadth and lyrical spice. This is accompanied by Brazilian, Hungarian and Argentinian music from the tuba, accompanied by jazz piano.
In the best tradition of Gerhard Polt or Karl Valentin, he describes his struggle with the instrument, the unloved practice, the difficulties of traveling, the sudden clash of the country boy with the big city of Berlin and his own burglar Jürgen... After this evening, everyone can feel a bit like a tuba player.
