Contemporary art in the Phoenixhalle at the Römerkastell

The ARTe art fair Stuttgart is once again inviting art lovers and interested parties to the Phoenixhalle at the Römerkastell from May 8 to 10, 2026. On an exhibition area of 1,500 square meters, around 80 selected galleries and artists from the region, the whole of Germany and neighboring countries will present their current positions.
Visitors can expect a diverse presentation of contemporary works - from established artists to up-and-coming talents from various genres of fine art - including sculptures, paintings, drawings, photographs and graphics.

The art experience at ARTe Kunstmesse Stuttgart is complemented by free services: A packing service for purchased works and the option to pay by EC or credit card make it easier to buy art on site. The barrier-free location also offers free access to around 400 parking spaces and a spacious forecourt where trade fair visitors can enjoy culinary delights from regional food trucks. Drinks are available at the Phoenixhalle's indoor bar.
The trade fair concept also includes a musical soundtrack that discreetly accompanies visitors through the trade fair and free guided tours with art historian Anette Ochsenwadel. In alternating tours, she presents selected positions and places them in their art-historical and contemporary context. Pre-registration is recommended and is possible via the ARTe Kunstmesse website.
On the vernissage evening, Friday, May 8, 2026, ARTe Kunstmesse Stuttgart invites visitors to free admission between 5:00 and 6:00 pm. After 18:00 and on the following days, normal admission prices apply.
Tickets for the upcoming event are also available at a reduced price on the ARTe Kunstmesse website: A 3-day pass costs 12 euros for one person, 24 euros for two people. Groups of more than two people receive an additional discount. Day tickets are available for 15 euros per person at the box office, reduced tickets cost 12 euros (for pupils, students, pensioners and people with disabilities). Free admission applies to accompanying children under the age of 16 and for people with disabilities with a B disability, including accompanying person.
