Asmar Nadzhafova Quartett (presented by HMDK Stuttgart)

"Folk Stories" - this is the motto under which Asmar Nadzhafova and her quartet, consisting of vocals, piano, double bass and drums, will lead you through the evening. The singer Asmar Nadzhafova has her cultural roots in her home countries of Azerbaijan and Ukraine.

In her new program, she gives songs from these countries a fresh, jazzy perspective. The songs, which tell of love, home and the connection to nature, are translated into a modern sound language through creative arrangements that convey the deep emotions of the originals in a unique way.

"I have always been inspired by the rich cultural diversity of Ukraine and Azerbaijan," explains Nadzhafova. "It is an honor for me to take the audience on a musical journey through these two wonderful countries and at the same time bring my own musical identity to the fore."
