Reading and talk on the exhibition "The Cold Heart" with Fatima Khan

The Cold Heart: this is the title of the exhibition at the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart, which combines Wilhelm Hauff's (1802-1827) fairy tale of the same name with contemporary art for the first time.
Published in 1827, the story is a symbol of a changing world: Hauff describes the consequences of industrialization and accelerating capitalism at the beginning of the 19th century. Existing moral concepts begin to falter and fears of losing one's social standing grow with the awakening material demands. In the program accompanying the exhibition, Fatima Khan, curator, moderator, author and co-founder of the feminist literature festival q[lit]*clgn in Cologne, will read from her works. In 2025, she was invited to the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition with an excerpt from her novel manuscript "Madonna in den Trümmern". Khan wrote the article "German Fairy Tale Roads" for the booklet accompanying the exhibition
