The SWR Bestenliste has been recommending ten books worth reading every month for 50 years, completely independently of bestseller lists. The list is not determined by the books that sell the most, but by a jury of 30 renowned literary critics who select the books they hope will be read by as many readers as possible. Once a month, three jury members discuss four books from the latest SWR Best List at different locations in the broadcasting area.
Join us live on stage when the three jury members Shirin Sojitrawalla, Helmut Böttiger and Klaus Nüchtern discuss four selected books from the SWR Bestenliste for the month of December with Carsten Otte. Isabelle Demey and Dominik Eisele will read excerpts from the books.
