After its premiere in winter 2016/2017 and the subsequent performances, the press went wild with enthusiasm. Every single performance was sold out - the audience was thrilled! But let's start from the beginning: "I Dolci Signori" are the most successful Italo band in Germany. Since their foundation in 2002, they have toured all over Europe and even Abu Dhabi. The idea of now conquering the theater stage was born in collaboration with Stefan Tilch, the director of the Landestheater Niederbayern, who also directed the show. In this production, the musicians and actors take their audience on a musical journey through Italy: classics such as "Azzurro," "Senza una donna" and "Gloria" are cleverly integrated into the plot and spread a vacation atmosphere.

What is it all about? Gloria, Rocky's childhood sweetheart, who has emigrated to the USA, is to marry an American on her uncle's instructions. Rocky, determined to prevent this, is faced with the problem that he lacks the money for the passage to the United States. In this desperate situation, Rocky's grandfather remembers the days when honest work in mining in Germany brought a fortune.

No sooner said than done: Rocky starts his Vespa and sets off on an adventurous odyssey. Together with his friend Gianni and the German tourist Frauke, he finally ends up in Gelsenkirchen. But here the age of coal mining is long gone, and Rocky finds himself frustrated back in his home village in southern Italy.

Just as he has given up on his dreams, the moneyman unexpectedly knocks on his door. Now Rocky has the money he needs to travel to America, but perhaps his attitude has changed in the meantime...
