Discovering the joy of singing at primary school age and learning about important works of classical music These are the aims of our BachBewegt ! Sing ! Pupils of all ages learn arrangements of well-known works together with their teachers, which they then perform on stage with the professionals of the Gaechinger Cantorey. The impressions and experiences they gain are formative for their personal development.
This time we are devoting ourselves to George Frideric Handel's famous oratorio Messiah, in a version specially arranged for children by Karsten Gundermann. A team from the Bachakademie will accompany the rehearsal process right up to the highlight of the project: the big family concert in the Liederhalle, where all the children will perform with the Gaechinger Cantorey under the direction of Hans-Christoph Rademann. And at the end of the concert, pupils, audience and Gaechinger Cantorey will sing together! The focus will be on famous chorales and hymns.
