Begegnung mit der Armenischen Gemeinde

Location:
Ev. Rosenbergkirche, Rosenbergstraße 92, 70176 Stuttgart
Date
October 19, 2025, 2:30 PM

After the liturgy, the Armenian community of BW invites you to coffee, cake and discussions about its past and present. An afternoon of remembrance, exchange and looking ahead - admission free, donations welcome.

It's not just about socializing, but also about looking back at our own history.

Armenians have been living in Baden-Württemberg for more than 50 years. Many came after the Second World War, as "guest workers" in the 1970s, as refugees during the Iranian Revolution or after the collapse of the Soviet Union. In 1983, the Holy Cross Church in Göppingen-Bartenbach became a spiritual home of its own. With the founding of the Armenian community of Baden-Württemberg in 1996, a community was finally formed that is now one of the largest Armenian communities in Germany.

The meeting offers an opportunity to talk about this development, exchange memories and at the same time look to the future: How does the Armenian community live in Baden-Württemberg today - and how is it shaping its future as a bridge builder between Armenia and Germany?

Admission free. Donations requested.
