The "Benefit Concert of the Federal President"
On May 24, the "Benefit Concert of the Federal President" will take place as part of the SWR Summer Festival, with the Federal President and Elke Büdenbender attending in person. Since 2006, this series of concerts has been held in turn in the federal states. The benefit proceeds are used to support social or cultural causes. The proceeds from the 2026 benefit concert will be donated to the children's foundation Die Arche and Herzenssache e. V., which will use them for projects for disadvantaged children and young people.

Swing, soul and jazz in the open air
The heart of the concert is the renowned SWR Big Band. It will be supported by Max Mutzke, who has worked with the band for many years, most recently on the joint tour "Soul viel mehr". Fola Dada completes the line-up with great vocal power. Reutlingen saxophonist Jakob Manz and jazz trumpeter Joo Kraus from Ulm are also part of the line-up. The Swedish jazz musician Magnus Lindgren is the musical director. The event will be hosted by Siham El-Maimouni.
