The concert series at Berlin's Admiralspalast focuses on the work of one of the most influential film composers of the 20th century - and promises an extraordinary experience for all lovers of great film music.

Vangelis: A genius of musical images
Evangelos Odysseas Papathanassiou, known as Vangelis, is one of the most important composers of the 20th century. His music is an integral part of film history. He was awarded an Oscar for the film music to "Chariots of Fire". He also created the iconic futuristic soundtrack to Ridley Scott's Blade Runner as well as impressive music for the historical epic Alexander, the psychological drama Bitter Moon (directed by Roman Polanski) and the adventure film The Bounty, with stars such as Mel Gibson, Anthony Hopkins, Daniel Day-Lewis and Liam Neeson. The music of these films is unmistakable - emotional, visually stunning and deeply human.
