This album "Humanoid" is another captivating chapter in Eckroth's ever-evolving sound and comes hot on the heels of her Grammy-nominated, synth-heavy "The Garden" (Rainy Day Records, 2021) and her impressive solo piano improv album "One", released earlier this year. It demonstrates not only her skill and uniqueness as a musician and improviser, but also her strengths as a bandleader and composer.

It reflects her curiosity and courage while embodying her artistry and gift for capturing and expressing the range of human emotions in all their intensity - from deep melancholy to the utmost joy - creating completely different dynamics and soundscapes, from frenetic to cheerful, humorous to lyrical, relaxed to extremely urgent.
