BIX TOP ACT: Shalosh

SHALOSH is an instrumental piano trio that belongs to the current generation of cross-genre jazz groups and reaches a wide audience both in the jazz world and in other genres.

Their music is raw, acoustic and progressive, crossing stylistic boundaries and defying definition. In its ten years of existence, SHALOSH has performed an incredible 350 international concerts on some of the world's most prestigious stages.
Despite its classic jazz trio format (piano, bass and drums) and the band members' deep roots in jazz and improvised music, SHALOSH's music goes its own way, creating a unique and fascinating synthesis of genres as diverse as rock, classical, electronic, African and Middle Eastern music.

SHALOSH's goal is to create music that is both accessible and challenging. They enthusiastically master the balancing act of challenging themselves as musicians and artists while opening the door to the widest possible audience. They try to break through the distance that intellectual music can create. Their music springs from an emotional and raw place - the band's reaction to the cold urban jungle of today.
