Blau Machen. Eine Hörspiel-Performance

Marie Gamillscheg (text) and Mert Morali (sounds) explore the boundaries between word, sound and gaze in their radio play performance "Blau Machen" at the new music festival "Der Sommer in Stuttgart" and ask where an encounter is possible here, but also where it is prevented.

"We encounter a city that has turned gray, in which people are haunted by experiences of blue - the blue flashes up, covers perception and tears a gap in the present. Pain and healing are almost indistinguishable. People become addicted to this experience. Soon, however, politics also takes an interest in the power emanating from the blue and instrumentalizes it for its own purposes."
In their first joint work, the two artists explore the boundaries between word, sound and gaze and ask where an encounter is possible and where it is prevented. With text & composition, they want to learn to "see" in order to sharpen perception and awareness in a deceptive and fraudulent present.
