"A rousing music full of beautiful harmonic structures. (...) A great album.
album, we are thrilled!" [Jazz Fun]
The "Snarky Puppy" co-founder and British pianist, keyboardist and composer Bill Laurance already has five Grammys to his name. There will probably be more. In his album "Bloom", he unfolds a full-screen panorama of dreamscapes to immerse yourself in and float away to - with lush string sounds, piano improvisations, crystal-clear melodies and hypnotic rhythms and a density of sound that is rarely found in this fusion wonderland between classical, jazz, pop, Latin swing and minimal.
A dream project for such a fusion-savvy partner as the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra! "Bloom" is the most classical of his albums, says Laurance, who is also a much sought-after composer for film and dance. In it, he returns to the roots of his classical piano training. And just as Picasso knew that there is an artist in every child and that an adult must first learn to be an artist again, Bill Laurance was inspired for "Bloom" by his own child's ability to "lift the curtain of reality and create fantasy worlds". One thing is for sure: "Bloom" with the SKO will be an immersive moment in which nothing is predictable and everything is possible.
