Bubu’s French Night feat. Pierre Lapprand - Génération Top 50 • Volume 3

"Today there's vibe, today there's music, today there's dance." Under this motto, French bassist Nicolas Buvat invites some musician friends from the Stuttgart jazz scene and the unique French saxophonist, Pierre Lapprand, to the stage.

Today we experience a journey through time to meet with fever and "midnight demons". The greatest French and German hits of the Top 50 will once again resound in the BIX Jazzclub, in a mixture of disco, jazz, rock and new wave. Welcome back to the crazy times of the 70s, 80s and 90s. Pierre Lapprand always tries to cross the horizon with the help of his saxophone. After graduating from the CNSMDP (Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris) in 2019, Pierre made a big name for himself in the French jazz scene as a sideman and bandleader. He explores the punkiest corners of modern jazz with CHRONES, improvises interstellar flights with Congé Spatial and imagines an electronic universe of telluric energy with Pierre & The Stompers.

You can also meet him in the Afrobeat band Angelo Maria, in the energetic dance band MaDam RamDam, in Phillippe Maniez Dedication Big Band, Thibault Gomez Quintet or still in the Franco-Estonian quartet of Raimond Mägi, in which he plays in France and throughout Europe. (Jazz à Vienne, Jazz in Marciac, Jazz à la Villette, Jazzkaar, Kongsberg Jazz Festival, ViJazz Penedes, Umbria Jazz Festival, Love Supreme Festival, etc.)

Pierre has also opened for Avishai Cohen, Gerald Clayton, Ben Wendel and Herbie Hancock at the Jazzopen Stuttgart.
