An inspiring workshop at VOCES8 in 2022 was the starting signal for a permanent engagement of eight young singers in the calens vocalensemble. It was a good decision, as the first place and the audience award at the 14th Leipzig International a cappella competition in 2024 showed that they were on a promising path. This will be supported in 2024/25 by the #MusikerZukunft scholarship from the German Orchestra Foundation. The radius of beautiful performance opportunities extends far beyond Stuttgart, for example to the Davos Festival. This Christmas program for the hour also features movements by ensemble members Frederic Mattes and Florian Wolf.
