Candlelight – Skandinavische Weihnacht

Location:
Kultur- und Kongresszentrum Liederhalle, Berliner Platz 1-3, 70174 Stuttgart

In December, the Klassische Philharmonie Bonn invites the audience to a magical combination of music, light and fragrance in wintry Scandinavia! The program spans a festive arc from Baroque elegance to Nordic Romanticism: Corelli's radiant Concerto grosso, Johan Svendsen's Swedish folk tunes and Grieg's spirited Holberg Suite let the North shine in warm colors. Gabriel Fauré's lyrical Pavane and Albinoni's dazzling concerto are pure musical refinement. Oboist Marie Tetzlaff is the soloist in Alessandro Marcello's oboe concerto. A special highlight: our new orchestra director Moritz Ter Nedden takes over as conductor and also shines as the soloist in Johann Sebastian Bach's Violin Concerto in A minor. A concert that touches all the senses: Music, candlelight and fragrance in harmonious perfection.
