With their new production "The Whisper of the Stones", CORNAMUSA presents a virtuoso show in which music and dance bring the soul of the Celtic world to life.
Behind the powerful sounds and dynamic choreography is a moving story of identity and resilience: in Scotland, the clans were once supposed to discard their traditions - but they preserved their roots and revived their heritage with renewed vigor. In Ireland, too, the passion for dance and music remained unbroken even in hard times. CORNAMUSA brings this return of tradition to the stage in an authentic and joyful way.
An ensemble in a class of its own
CORNAMUSA is far more than just a dance show. The seven-piece live band impresses with a rare diversity: when the virtuoso playing of the violin meets the modern sound of the band and combines with the unmistakable sound of the bagpipes, the result is an orchestral pipe rock that gets straight into your blood. The ensemble consists of internationally award-winning soloists who transform the stage into a sea of energy. You don't just see the dancing - you feel the precision in every perfectly synchronized beat of the tap shoes. It is this interplay of technical perfection and pure enthusiasm that has been captivating audiences internationally for over 15 years. The production is led by two of the scene's most prominent heads:
- Gyula Glaser: three-time European champion and former off-Broadway dancer.
- Nicole Ohnesorge: World Championship bronze medalist and multiple champion.
