Cornamusa - World of Pipe Rock and Irish Dance

In the shadow of the crown

Cornamusa - World of Pipe Rock and Irish Dance brings you a brand new show on stage - with everything you need for an unforgettable evening: emotional highlights, a captivating story, live band power and Irish dance artistry at the highest level. You can look forward to three-time European champion Gyula Glaser (Off Broadway, New York, among others) and Nicole Ohnesorge, who came third in the world championships and is one of the international top dancers. Together with a seven-piece, multi-award-winning live band, award-winning dancers and an impressive stage production, you will experience a show that brings history to life - and pulls you right into the middle of the action.

The focus is on a conflict that shook Europe: in 1714, Sophie of Hanover, a Protestant from a German dynasty, was to become Queen of England. But there is resistance in Scotland and Ireland: the Jacobites - staunch Catholics and supporters of the Stuart dynasty - are fighting against the new Protestant supremacy. And this is exactly where you meet Isla - born mute, but with a dancing expressiveness that moves more than words ever could. Together with Finn, the leader of the Jacobites, she finds herself in the middle of a battle for faith, freedom - and the future of her people.

When the curtain rises this year and the new stage set shines in the light, when the crystal-clear sound of singing, tap dancing and instrumental diversity merges into an unmistakable soundscape - then you know: Cornamusa is back.
