As a living legend of the German poetry slam and ambassador of the German language, Bas Böttcher has been traveling to many countries around the world since the mid-1990s. Early on, Bas Böttcher warmed to the idea of passing on the beautiful laws of his word art to children and young people. Bas Böttcher's love of spoken poetry is combined with a gift for placing sparkling word machines on the Internet. The recent winner of the Weilheim Prize for Literature performs some fantastic verses - and unpacks them: In conversation with Timo Brunke, the spoken word artist outlines his artistic communication methods, takes a personal look at the concerns of German lessons, language education and sentences such as "That's a true poem!".
