David Sauzay Quartet

French saxophonist David Sauzay has been one of the most prominent voices in European jazz for many years.

He has played with Harold Mabern, Mulgrew Miller, Carla Bley, Steve Grossman and the Belmondo-Dal Sasso Big Band, among others. With a powerful, melodic tone and deep roots in the jazz tradition, Sauzay combines influences from hard bop, swing and modern improvisation to create his very own style.

In his quartet, he meets three outstanding musicians from the German scene: André Weiss (piano), Xaver Hellmeier (drums) and Axel Kühn (bass).

Together they present energetic, multi-faceted jazz - direct, captivating and full of musical depth.
