DEAD OR ALIVE
At the “Dead or Alive Slam,” outstanding poetry slammers from across the German-speaking world compete against deceased literary icons or literary characters. While some compete with their own texts, others send their works
into the fray from the afterlife—brought to life by ensemble members of the Schauspielbühnen in Stuttgart.
Hosted by Marius Loy, the evening unfolds across eras, styles, and temperaments. Classic meets contemporary, meter meets freestyle, Goethe meets boundary-pushing. And in the end, the audience decides: Who wins the battle of wits—Dead or Alive?
