Multi-platinum GRAMMY® award-winning DEFTONES will return to Germany for five shows in February 2026. The band announced this today together with their new album "private music", which will be released on August 22, 2025 via Reprise/Warner Records.
Together with special guests Denzel Curry and Drug Church, Deftones will kick off their EU/UK tour on January 19, 2026 at the Adidas Arena, Paris, before coming to Germany a little later. As a first taste of "private music", Deftones have also already released the first single "my mind is a mountain". As part of the premiere, Zane Lowe from Apple Music met up with Chino Moreno, Stephen Carpenter, Abe Cunningham and Frank Delgado at the legendary Canter's Deli in Hollywood, where they talked about the creation of the new album, shared memories - and took a look into the future.
"private music" marks the start of a new chapter for Deftones. The album was created at several locations in California - including Malibu and Joshua Tree - as well as in Nashville, Tennessee. It was produced and recorded together with Grammy-winning producer Nick Raskulinecz, with whom the band previously worked on Diamond Eyes (2010) and Koi No Yokan (2012).
