"Der ganze Hugo Wolf"

A musical book presentation at the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart

We are looking forward with great anticipation to the publication of the book "Der ganze Hugo Wolf". This bilingual volume brings together 15 essays by the American musicologist Susan Youens, which were written for the concert series of the same name. For the first time, Susan Youens' astute, incredibly knowledgeable and always charmingly and wittily written thoughts on all (!) of Hugo Wolf's songs are available in German: a unique overview of Hugo Wolf's song oeuvre! For the presentation of the freshly printed volume, the author Susan Youens will join us via livestream from South Bend/Indiana (USA). Marcelo Amaral, curator of the concert series "Der ganze Hugo Wolf", on which the book is based, will organize this musical book presentation with talented young singers and present a cross-section of Hugo Wolf's rich song oeuvre.
