Der italienische Patient

In Christian Blanck's sixth book, "The Italian Patient", much revolves around the subject of cars, but this time the story revolves even more around the author himself. He has sensed that the tank is empty. A professional blow throws him off course. He falls into a hole and thinks about what needs to be done differently, how his life can regain new energy and the usual lightness. He looked for a different way to overcome the crisis: Instead of the hiking trail, he chose the asphalt and bought a 53-year-old Fiat 500 in southern Italy to embark on an adventurous journey across Italy.

The Stuttgart music duo "Parallel", led by Koray Cinar and Francesco Caruso, occupies a very special place in his heart long before the start in Italy.

The three have not only been working together for over a decade, they are also friends. The two musicians have been involved in the planning and ideas from the very first minute, and also contributed musically to the book's title song "The Day before we met". This and many more parallel songs as well as Italian music classics, collected on the streets of Italy, will not only make this evening an entertaining reading, it will be a German-Italian musical journey to look forward to.
