The lion laughs
a song circus to sing along and join in for children aged 4-10 by and with Christof and Vladi Altmann The play "Der Löwe lacht" will celebrate its 30th anniversary in spring 2023 with well over a thousand performances.
"Come in and don't be embarrassed!"
Circus director Christofferus Wackelzahn and Ladulina "from the world-famous Pepperoni circus family" guide the audience through the program in their "beloved Pepperoni-Wackelzahn song circus".
The first big attraction they announce is the lion. But he doesn't want to be alone in front of so many people? With the help of the audience, he then dares to do so and sings his song "The Lion Laughs" together with the children.
But the rest of the song circus would also be unthinkable without the help of the audience. After all, the artificer and the magician have such a stomach ache that they can't perform.

On the last Sunday of the Christmas season
Christof and Vladi Altmann proudly present their play "Der Löwe lacht"
to the assembled audience as a "Christmas song circus".
As always, they welcome the audience as ringmaster Christofferus Wackelzahn and Ladulina "from the world-famous Pepperoni circus family"
the audience with the words: "Come in and don't be embarrassed!"
And of course they announce the lion as the first big attraction.
But, darn it, he doesn't want to be all alone this time either, in front of so many people?
With the help of the children, he then dares to sing his song
and sings his song "The lion laughs" together with them.
But the rest of the song circus would also be unthinkable without the
unthinkable without the help of the audience. After all, the art shooter
and the magician have such a stomach ache that they can't perform again. Not to mention the riders.
In between, the "Sultan of Arabia" visits the circus
as a guest of honor on his "original flying carpet",
Fridolin the dragon spits fire and there are one or two surprises in between that fit in with the fading Christmas theme.
When it finally says: "What would it be like to watch a circus?
without this one guy, the funny one, the clown"
is a colorful circus lesson peppered with songs
to sing along and join in.
In the Theaterhaus, the Altmanns are musically accompanied
by Bobbi Fischer on piano and Florian Dohrmann on double bass.
So: Come in and don't be embarrassed!
